The ceremony and reception had gone off without a hitch! Although my parents hadn't come and even Nina failed to show up, it really was rather a pleasant evening.
Immediately after my emotional struggles, I stepped outside and quickly checked myself over. The dress was perfect. The weather was perfect. Ben was perfect. With a giddy smile I stepped onto the aisle, and the harpist began to play a sweet tune. The guests turned in their seats, their eyes following my progress to the arch.
Ben greeted me with a warm smile, and kissed my cheek. We stepped under the arch and joined hands. My heart pounded as I stared into Ben's blue eyes, wondering if he was just as nervous as I.
The officiant quickly started the ceremony, and we were soon saying our vows and slipping the ring on one another's finger. Finally, we could kiss! I laughed happily and wrapped my arms around Ben, pressing my lips to his.
 I was married!
Our guests rose to their feet, clapping and cheering. I realized none of them were actually my friends.
We walked down the aisle and led the guests to the tent where the dinner, cake, and champagne were waiting. The Sun set soon after, the darkness blanketing the yard.

"To Ben and Aimee," Kennedy cried with his flute raised. "May you have a life together full of happiness!" The rest of the guests raised their flutes as well and toasted us in unison. We raised our glasses as well, and followed with a kiss.
After dinner, we gathered around the wedding cake. I carefully fed Ben a piece of cake, but he thought he would be so funny smashing my piece into my nose. The guests seemed to share his humor.
No one seemed interested in the dance floor beside the pool, much to my surprise. Ben had insisted his friends would love to dance under the stars (which I have to admit sounded pretty nice), but in the end it was bare and unused. Instead everyone hung out beneath the tent wrapped up in their own conversations.
Finally the evening wound down, and the limo came to take us to the honeymoon. We ran to it laughing like a couple of kids, leaving the guests beaneth the tent.
When we arrived at the hotel Ben told me to head up to our room as he had something to take care of (who knows what), so I road the elevator to the room and quickly shed the heavy gown. I changed into a sheer nighty, and waited for Ben to arrive.
"Let's get the honeymoon started," I said, the words spilling over my lips in a sultry tone. "I've been waiting for this moment." Ben smiled and closed the door behind him, loosening his tie.
"Is that so?" he teased, kicking his shoes off. "Then I suppose I'll have to put a stop to that." I laughed as he approached the bed pulling off his jacket. He leaned over on the bed and kissed me, reaching for the lamp and turning off the light.
Please God, let things be different this time.
